Welcome to WSP USA! Our success grows from the collective ideas, energy, and expertise of our people.

Overview

At WSP USA, we recognize the importance of providing a total rewards program that includes competitive benefits offerings from the market’s leading national carriers to deliver a better experience whenever you and your family use them. Our goal is to support your total well-being with benefits that allow you to live well in all aspects of your life.

Eligibility

If you are a regular full-time or regular part-time employee, you are immediately eligible for WSP USA benefits. Part-time employees must, on average, work 24 hours or more a week to be eligible for health benefits. Regular part-time employees who work less than 24 hours a week are generally not eligible for health benefits but are eligible to participate in the WSP USA Retirement Savings Plan. Temporary employees, including interns, are not eligible for participation in WSP USA's benefit plans. Click here for more information on the Eligibility requirements.

When does my coverage begin?

Your health benefits coverage is effective as of your date of hire. You will have 31 days to make your health benefit elections which are effective retroactively to your first day with WSP USA. Please note that all enrolled dependents require verification of dependent status within 31 days of your election.

Your 401(k) eligibility is immediate as well. You will have approximately 60 days to make contribution elections, or opt out of participation, before you are automatically enrolled at 5% pre-tax. Click here for more information.

Health and Insurance Benefits Elections:

Within two weeks of your first day, you will receive an email from bswift, our Benefits Adminsitrator, at your WSP USA email address with instructions on how to make your health benefit elections. (Note: If you receive an error message, you may be logging into the system too early.) You must enroll within 31 days of your hire date to have coverage for the year. If you incur expenses between your start date and when you enroll, you can submit your claims directly to the carrier for reimbursement.

If you fail to make health benefit elections or make incorrect elections, you will be unable to enroll or change your health benefit plans elections until the next Open Enrollment period, unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event. Review enrollment instructions now!

Important information about your enrollment

Do I need to enroll?

Health Benefits Elections:
Yes, you MUST take action within 31 days of your date of hire to have the health benefits you want. If you don’t take action, you will have no WSP USA benefits coverage except for company-paid benefits (i.e., Basic Life, AD&D and Core Short-term Disability).

401(k) Contribution Elections:
Auto enrollment will occur after approximately 60 days of your date of hire. If you would like to start contributing (and receiving company match) prior to that time or if you would like to opt out of auto-enrollment and not participate, you must take action. You can update your contributions and investments at any time throughout the year.

Remember!

  • Be sure to provide the necessary dependent verification information to enroll eligible dependents for insurance coverages.
  • Make sure you’ve provided beneficiary information for your life insurance, AD&D, HSA, BTA and 401(k) plans.

Keep the following in mind!

  • All ID cards can be retrieved online within a week of enrollment.
  • Often providers are in-network with one health plan and not another. Remember to check which of your providers take your new health plan.
  • WSP USA pays 100% of the cost for Core Short-Term Disability (STD) coverage with no Evidence of Insurability (EOI) requirements. Take advantage of the waived Evidence of Insurability requirement for the Buy-Up Short-Term Disability and the Long-Term Disability plans.
  • Choose Carefully - You cannot make changes to your benefits unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event.
